Step #1 - Diagnosis
This is the essential step! Becoming blonde almost means making a contract with your client. She needs to understand the different steps and agree to them in order for everything to go well. Depending on the basis of your client's colour, the process may take several appointments. So start by carefully analyzing your client's hair tone, hair type and hair porosity before agreeing to go ahead!

Step #2 - The bleaching
This is the most sensitive step because it is also the most important. First you will bleach your client's hair to reach the perfect bleaching base. Then, you will come to redeposit your pigment. The bleaching process weakens the hair a lot, that's why it's important to choose your products carefully. You can opt for a powder bleach like Fanola 9 Tones which allows you to bleach up to 9 tones. You can also opt for specialized bleaches for Alter Ego Italy blondes like the 9 Tone BlondEgo bleach. Weigh your mixture carefully and watch the pause time, which is usually no more than 50 minutes.
In order to help you choose the ideal formula for the bleaching to be done, you can consult some tools made available by the manufacturers. Some colour charts offer formulas and a fairly precise user's guide, such as the NYO Colour Chart.
Step #3 - The neutralization
Before going to the toner phase, use a purple shampoo to balance the pigment and neutralize the unwanted golden under-pigment. If you want to keep a little heat, you can choose No Orange shampoo from Fanola or No Orange from NYO. Depending on the type of blonde you are seeking, you can then proceed to neutralize it using specialized toners for blondes such as Fanola No Yellow or NYO No Yellow.

Step #4 - The maintenance
This step needs to be clearly explained to your client. She must understand the importance of home care with professional products such as NYO No Yellow shampoo and mask. Finally, to maintain a beautiful blonde and neutralize yellow highlights, your client should be diligent and come back about every 4 weeks to allow you to maintain the blonde in good conditions. If your client waits too long before coming back, it will require more work for you. Talk to her to make sure she will be able to meet these conditions to keep the blonde she wants.

Creating the most beautiful blondes requires a lot of involvement and technical skills, the products used are aggressive for the hair and be sure to control them before starting a bleaching process. Also make sure that your client understands the commitment needed to have a beautiful blonde!
